Q: Can your system handle assumed business as well as retro business?
A: Yes, R² is capable of handling both types of business. For reinsurers, we can also provide an automated link from your assumed to retrocession business, to reduce the manual work required to process retrocessions.

Q: What type of support do you offer for your clients?
A: Our main focus is to provide the best service possible for our clients. Reinsurance processing is very complicated, and typically varies from company to company. We assign a specific liaison, plus a backup, to each Client. These people are familiar with your specific products, treaties and system to provide personal service for each Client. We pride ourselves on a quick turn around time for all requests and issues, by phone or email.

Q: Do you offer any special services or features for your clients?
A: Quasar*Systems holders a User Group Meeting annually in August to provide clients and reinsurers with updated system knowledge and hands-on experience for new features. We also mail out a quarterly newsletter about program updates and ways to enhance our clients use of the system.

Q: How much business can R² handle?
A: We currently have a client processing 250,000 policies on a monthly basis. Another client handles over 1 million retro transactions per run, in addition to similarly quantified assumed processing.

Q: How long does it take to implement R²?
A: The answer to this question depends on the client's time constraints. Normally, the work to provide specialized processing unique to each client can be completed by us before the Client has completed their work in creating and coding the policy data required to run the system. Quasar*Systems is willing to have your system up and running in any reasonable time frame you choose.
